The Acme Group, through its EXTENSIVE LOCAL AND NATIONAL NETWORK of investigators and process servers, effects service of legal process almost anywhere in the United States. We comply with all regulatory and licensing requirements state by state.

FOR THE NON-LAWYERS, REMEMBER:

Every legal document must be served by a certain time
All legal documents must be served in a lawfully prescribed manner, in order to be effective
Many legal documents must be served "personally", meaning they must be handed to the designated person or entity "in person", or service is not legally binding
Your process server is required to file a sworn statement describing the person and the conditions of service, which is the first document the opposition attacks. If the service is faulty, the case is over.
Your process server may be required to testify in court regarding the service event, and to identify in person, the person they have served.

"AVOIDANCE" and "HARD TO LOCATE" CASE
SPECIALISTS

An AVOIDANCE CASE is where the party to be served is aware of the impending service, and is taking steps to affirmatively hide from or otherwise avoid the process server at their usual addresses for home, work, school, etc. Only an experienced, skilled, dedicated and resourceful operator can accomplish this type of service at all, while doing it in a lawful and appropriate manner.

MOST IMPORTANT, WE DON'T GIVE UP! We use creativity and imagination, and skills as professional undercover operators, to get the legal process served.

We bring extensive experience to this task. All of our staff and affiliated personnel who serve process are properly licensed as such in their jurisdiction, and are also licensed private investigators. With that expertise, we access numerous research resources to locate people and business entities, fictitious or otherwise, especially those that do not want to be found.

Our executive members include a former attorney who supervises these activities to insure that all documentation is present, and that service will be and ultimately is, lawful and effective.

Our attorney clients regularly depend upon us to locate and serve in all manner of cases, from initial Summons and Complaint to Orders of Protection and Restraining Orders. We frequently receive documents for service after another agency has already tried and failed to serve. Unless otherwise directed, we keep trying to serve until we accomplish the task.

AFFIDAVITS OF SERVICE

Our Affidavits of Service are very detailed, not just the minimum required to insure their usefulness in court, and have often obviated the need for testimony regarding service. We provide a notarized original and one copy, and will file directly with the court if so requested by our client.
